Our Story In Timeline Us

We are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) political party, and we are determined to make Nigeria the country of pride to Nigerians and all peoples of African ancestry worldwide. This is the fuel that powers our movement. Yes, join us in the APC, join us in the Hope 2023 project. Help us create a world where Africans are respected because of our thriving and prosperous continent.
On Wednesday August 21, 2013 in Abuja, Chief Bisi Akande, the first Chairman of the APC at the launch of the party’s manifesto noted that the underpinning philosophy for the formation of the APC was “the determination to bring the country back from the brink of collapse, despair, and possible disintegration; reposition it decisively on the route to emerging into a modern stable democratic nation, with a productive economy that is based on equity and justice for all citizens.” Indeed, the APC looked to position Nigeria to assume her proper place in world affairs commensurate with its size and status as the leading black nation in the world. The APC is now running her second term at the Presidential level and we feel the pulse of the people and understand that our party must refocus and provide the kind of leadership, and much more for Nigeria to become the Nigeria of our dream.

Hope 2023 is being pioneered by members of the All Progressives Congress who believe that the party still remains the only political vehicle with the keys and ideological vision to resolve Nigeria’s many political contradictions and position the country for quantum leap into global significance.

Our aim at Hope 2023 is to engage and promote our best into leadership positions of the party and government through connecting party grassroot members. Members of our movement in the party will be empowered to see themselves as critical stakeholders in party and government decisions. We intend to transform our party into what she was originally intended to be; a truly people centred political party with the radical ideological fervour to change Nigeria for the best, and into the true giant of Africa, capable of realising and unleashing her full potential for the good of her people and the country. We see this role as a mandate and one of historical calling which is worth siding with and fighting for.

Our aim to see Nigeria become a country at peace with herself, prospering for the benefit of all, compels us to begin this task: to create a beneficial linkage between the best politically motivated and gifted members of Nigerians in the Diaspora and compatriots at home for the good of Nigeria. This is the basic underpinning philosophy of our movement – the best, bold and most courageous to step into the political leadership of Nigeria. Both for the present, and future, our aim is to bring together visionary and patriotic Nigerians who were part of the historic struggle that gifted our party the APC, victory in 2015 as a first step in this journey for national redemption and patriotic engagement.
On the global front, a politically strong, stable, and prospering Nigeria holds the key to the emergence of global respect for all peoples of African ancestry in view of her population and the enormous potential which has been shown by her Diaspora citizens in Education, economic power, and political engagement in countries around the world. Here at Hope 2023 we want to secure the rapid realization of this ideal within the shortest time possible by deploying our best into political leadership. A strong, politically stable, ably led Nigeria will witness rapid National transformation and development. This is good for Nigeria, for Africa and the world.

Ours is a mission of the possibilities in the audacity of Hope. Hope that Nigerians and our friends will see with us the great benefit a better and equitably administered Nigeria hold for all Nigerians and the world.

The bottom-line of our movement is: We are a socially conscious political group within the APC dedicated to the emergence of new public policy and political ideas in Nigeria.
